The prime season for cross-country skiing is March and April. This is an excellent time to come over for a cross-country skiing adventure over frozen lakes and via forest in the Northern wilderness. Snow and sunshine, frost and blue sky – the Spring is coming to Kola Peninsula!
If you like to experience the polar night and you are not afraid of a little cold, then skiing in December, January or February is also possible but for a shorter amount of hours per day.
This tour is suitable for beginners and experienced skiers.

the guide instructs you the basics of cross-country skiing on the lighted tracks of Monchegorsk.
After good progress we continue to the lake and forests.

Ski Marathon is usually held on a first Sunday in April in Murmansk and is part of the traditional Festival of the North (Prazdnik Severa). Two distances: 25 and 50 km. Euro Loppet.
