Meet Kola Travel
Kola Travel was founded in the year 2002 by the husband-and-wife team of Frank and Svetlana de Wit,
who together represent a wealth of local knowledge and many years of experience in the European tourist industry. Frank is originally
from the Netherlands, where for 15 years he owned his own firm - NorTrek - which specialized in active tours
in Scandinavia. Svetlana, born and raised in the Murmansk region, is a professional tourism manager and
English-Russian interpreter, and has been involved in the tourism industry on the Kola Peninsula
since the late Soviet years.
Everything that we at Kola Travel do, we do in a quality manner. We can do this because we possess an
excellent infrastructure and equipment base, skilled and experienced staff, well-established tour routes
and excursions, and reliable partners. In those situations where we cooperate with partners based in different
regions of European Russia, such as Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Karelia and Arkhangelsk, the quality of service
always remains at the same high standard as when Kola Travel is directly involved.

Meet Our Team
Frank Director, manager and guide
Frank is allround. He facilitates all employees with knowledge and tools to do the job efficient and in quality.
He knows Dutch, English, German and Russian language and guides mostly the 4x4 tours, theme tours and excursions tours
for foreign clients.
Svetlana is responsible for incoming and outgoing tourism and is the first person who contacts you after
sending an email to info@kolatravel.com or by the contact form. She manage the whole booking process. Svetlana speaks
fluently English and works also as guide / intepretor.
Kira Manager incoming tours
Kira assists our general manager in planning the incoming tour programs and works on developing and managing our social media pages.
Kira speaks fluently English and works also as guide / intepretor.
Ludmila Manager outgoing tours
Ludmila takes care for our Russian clients and partners. She arranges shopping tours and holidays abroad and excursion tours
for companies and schools in or outside Russia. She assist Svetlana with contract management also and speaks Russian.
Elvera Main bookkeeper
Elera controls all incoming and outgoing payments. She takes care about contacts and bookings at our partners.
Alexander is a sportive guide and winner in Russian competions as hiking, biking, mountain biking, rafting,
kayaking, crosscountry skiing.
Nikolay Allround guide
Nikolay is a sportive guide specialised in hiking, biking, mountain biking, rafting,
kayaking, crosscountry skiing.
Nadezhda is a sportive guide specialised in hiking, biking, mountain biking, rafting,
kayaking, crosscountry skiing.
Frank 4x4 and snowmobiling guide
Frank guides all motorised tours. Or by the GAZ-66 Army truck, Landrover Discovery or by snowmobile.
Also he takes care for luggage transport during several active tours.
Ingrid Translator German language
Ingrid is a very experience Kola Traveller, nature and culture lover. She with her husband snd dog visit many times
the north by camper. Ingrid is German and speaks English, Russian, Norwegian, French and Italian.
Thanks to Ingrid our website can also be read in German language.
