Husky safari "Conquest of the north with huskies"

If you've decided to conquer the north, why not do it with sled pulled by a team of husky dogs. That is the most effective way to get around in the Arctic. We offer you a program of 6-7 hours on a husky farm close to Murmansk city. There you have an excursion on the husky farm and an introduction how to manage the huskies and a dog’s sledge.

You have to do everything by yourself; starting with harnessing the dogs, putting six dashing huskies in front of the sled and off you go. On a 40 kilometers long track you rule the sled by yourself. You will be two people on a sled: one is mushing and one is sitting in the sled as a passenger. From time to time you are changing places with the passenger in the sled so that you both are able to steer the sled and shoot videos or take pictures during the safari.

After the safari you have to unharness the dogs and bring them in their cage. During the husky safari a meal, warm tea and pastries will be offered. We take care about the transfers from Murmansk to the husky farm and back which takes only 30 minutes one-way.

Conquest of the north with huskies

Level: from 16 years old.

Group size: From 2 to 6 persons (2 persons as a sled team)

Duration: 6 – 7 hours (+ 0,5 hour transfer from Murmansk city in one direction)

Dates: Any date between middle of December and end of April (dates in other period are on request).

Documents: Passport must be valid at least 6 months after date of return. A Russian visa is required for tourists from most countries. See your country’s Russian consulate or embassy for details. We handle the tourist invitation.

Insurance: The participant must possess medical insurance that at very least covers the European part of the Russian Federation.
